### 題梅花和韻

> Plum Blossoms, Matching Rhyme

陳涉江特地向寒崖枯木中拈出一枝花，自笑自吟，不知熏出許多忍俊不禁者，迭為敲唱，生出無限幽光逸韻，振作性情，益見此中有一種天然秘藏，愈出愈奇，愈無而愈有也。邵石生亦感此而和之，隨手指點，半空陸離。此花能固人窮，又能與人富矣。嗚呼！邵子須知徹骨之寒，本不為粥香計，而香落人間，熏人性光，有如此者。夏時、殷輅、周冕、韶舞，皆森然于陋巷簞瓢中，要在自問其不改者何如，將徒以郊寒島瘦作口語遣放耶？

> Chen Shejiang specially picked a single flower from the cold cliffs and withered trees, laughing and singing to himself. Little did he know that this would draw out many who could not help but smile, and they took turns echoing the tune, giving rise to endless hidden radiance and untrammeled charm, stirring heart and spirit. This only further reveals a kind of natural, secret treasure within—growing more wondrous the more it appears, more present the more it seems absent. Shao Shisheng, moved by this, composed a response, casually pointing out a dazzling array of wonders in midair. This flower can hold a person firm in poverty, yet also grant them wealth. Alas! Shaozi must understand that the bone-piercing cold was never meant as a trade for the fragrance of porridge, yet when that fragrance falls upon the human world, it kindles the light of human nature in such a way. The ceremonies of Xia, the chariots of Yin, the caps of Zhou, and the dances of Shao all stand serenely amid humble alleys and simple meals. The key lies in asking oneself what remains unchanged—will one merely use the lean verses of Meng Jiao and the thin lines of Jia Dao as casual banter to pass the time?
