> Again, the original rhyme

君家廬嶽蒼崖顛，睡足茗碗浮輕圜。十年不歸空蕙帳，夜鶴哀怨驚曉猿。朅來湘尾寄城寺，夏簟清涼便晝眠。扣門剝啄誰過我？上騰火色仍鳶肩。軒然辯論雜今古，不覺前席心旌懸。以身徇國愛子布，塞門以土推孫堅。雖云詩窮少陵老，飢寒正坐拜杜鵑。遙知鈴齋賓謁主，贈以紫硯浮松煙。作詩寄我對岑寂，為散頑麻雙腳攣。弟兄高才當濟世，會看笑揖人主前。嗟余百念已灰冷，倦易斂翼為虛弦。粥魚齋鼓日課辦，仰屋臥看三條椽。管寧木床五十載，好事空傳膝處穿。何如斂目十年坐，道樹身同金石堅。

> Your home perches on the crags of Mount Lu, After sleep, tea cups float with soft ripples. Ten years away, the orchid tent lies empty— Night cranes cry sorrow, dawn apes startle. You come to Xiang's edge, lodged in a city temple, Cool summer mats make for easy midday naps. Who knocks at the door and visits me? A fiery presence, shoulders like a hawk's. Boldly debating past and present, Unaware, I lean forward, heart suspended. Giving yourself for the state, you admire Zibu, Blocking gates with earth, you praise Sun Jian. Though it's said poets age in poverty, Hunger and cold arise from bowing to cuckoos. Far away, I know in your study guests greet the master, Gifted a purple inkstone with floating pine smoke. You write poems to me in my stillness, To ease the numbness in my twisted legs. Your brothers' talents should aid the world, Soon you'll smile and bow before the ruler. Alas, my hundred thoughts are cold ashes, Tired wings fold like a loosened bowstring. Porridge bells and temple drums mark daily tasks, I gaze at the ceiling, watching three beams. Guan Ning's wooden bed for fifty years, Only tales remain of knees worn through. Better to sit for ten years with eyes closed, The tree of the path as firm as gold and stone.
