「外之出離退轉之慧是種姓地之智」者如何？

云：「降伏生」是種姓地，云：「降伏轉」是種姓地，云：「降伏因相」是種姓地，云：「降伏存續」是種姓地，云：「降伏結生」是種姓地，云：「降伏趣」是種姓地，云：「降伏生成」是種姓地，云：「降伏生起」是種姓地，云：「降伏誕生」是種姓地，云：「降伏老」種姓地，云：「降伏病」是種姓地，云：「降伏死」種姓地，云：「降伏愁」是種姓地，云：「降伏外之諸行因相」是種姓地。云：「躍進不生」是種姓地，云：「躍進不轉」是種姓地……乃至……云：「躍進滅盡、涅槃」是種姓地。云：「降伏已躍進不生」是種姓地，云：「降伏轉已躍進不轉」是種姓地，云：「降伏因相已躍進無因相」是種姓地……乃至……云：「降伏外之諸行因相已躍進滅盡、涅槃」是種姓地。

It is said: "Leaping toward cessation and nirvana is the lineage ground." It is said: "Having overcome birth, leaping toward non-arising is the lineage ground." It is said: "Having overcome continuation, leaping toward non-continuation is the lineage ground." It is said: "Having overcome causal signs, leaping toward signlessness is the lineage ground." ... and so on ... It is said: "Having overcome external causal signs of formations, leaping toward cessation and nirvana is the lineage ground."

云：「由生出離」是種姓地，云：「由轉出離」是種姓地，云：「因相……〔乃至〕……存續……〔乃至〕……結生……〔乃至〕……趣……〔乃至〕……生成……〔乃至〕……生起……〔乃至〕……誕生……〔乃至〕……老……〔乃至〕……病……〔乃至〕……死……〔乃至〕……愁……〔乃至〕……悲……〔乃至〕……惱……〔乃至〕……由外之諸行因相出離」是種姓地。云：「躍進不生」是種姓地，云：「躍進不轉」是種姓地……乃至……云：「躍進滅盡、涅槃」是種姓地。云：「由生出離躍進不生」是種姓地，云：「由轉出離躍進不轉」是種姓地……乃至……云：「由外之諸行因相躍進出離而滅盡、涅槃」是種姓地。云：「由生退轉」是種姓地，云：「由轉退轉」是種姓地……乃至……云：「由外之諸行因相退轉」是種姓地。云：「躍進於不轉」是種姓地……乃至……云：「躍進於滅盡、涅槃」是種姓地。云：「於生已退轉躍進不生」是種姓地，云：「由轉已退轉躍進不轉」是種姓地……乃至……云：「於外之諸行因相已退轉躍進滅盡、涅槃」是種姓地。

幾何之種姓地法依寂止而生？幾何之眾聖法依正觀而生？

〔言〕八種姓地法依寂止而生，十種姓地法依正觀而生。

如何八種姓地法依寂止而生？

云：「為獲得初靜慮故降伏〔五〕蓋」是種姓地，云：「為獲得第二靜慮故降伏尋伺」是種姓地，云：「為獲得第三靜慮故降伏喜」是種姓地，云：「為獲得第四靜慮故降伏樂苦」是種姓地，云：「為獲得虛空無邊處定故降伏色想、有對想、種種想」是種姓地，云：「為獲得識無邊處定故降伏虛空無邊處想」是種姓地，云：「為獲得無所有處定故降伏識無邊處想」是種姓地，云：「為獲得非想非非想處定故降伏無所有處想」是種姓地。如是八種姓地法依寂止而生。

如何十種姓地法依正觀而生？

云：「為獲得預流道故降伏生、轉、因相、存續、結生、趣、生成、生起、誕生、老、病、死、愁、悲、惱、外之諸行因相」是種姓地，云：「為逮得預流果故降伏生、轉、因相、存續、結生」是種姓地，云：「為獲得一來道故……」……乃至……為逮得一來果故〔……乃至……〕為獲得不還道故〔……乃至……〕為逮得不還果故〔……乃至……〕為獲得阿羅漢道故生、轉……乃至……為逮得阿羅漢果故〔……乃至……〕為逮得空性住故〔……乃至……〕云：「為逮得無因相故降伏生、轉、因相、存續、結生」是種姓地。如是十種姓地法依正觀而生。

幾何之種姓地法是善，幾何是不善，幾何是無記？十五種姓地法是善，三種姓地法是無記，而種姓地法乃非不善。

愛染非愛染願無願

繫離繫出離未出離

依定之緣為八智之行境十

十八種姓地法是三解脫之緣

於慧知此十八相

善退轉出離者於種種見無動搖

此依所知義是智，依了知義是慧，故曰：「外之出離退轉之慧是種姓地智。」
