*The Rites of Veneration in the Buddhist Tradition*, compiled and edited by the Venerable Master Hongyi of the Republican era. This work emerged against the backdrop of the revival of Chinese Buddhism in the modern period, aiming to systematically organize Buddhist liturgical protocols. Its primary content details the rites of veneration that Buddhist practitioners should follow upon entering the path of cultivation, including the normative conduct of reverence towards the Three Jewels—the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha. It encompasses specific practices such as prostrations, offerings, and hymns of praise. This work inherits the spirit of the Tang Dynasty Vinaya Master Daoxuan's *Shimen Guijing Yi* and further refines and elucidates it, embodying Venerable Master Hongyi's vow to propagate Vinaya studies and rectify the Dharma gate. Within Chinese Buddhism, this text is regarded as an essential guide for learning Buddhist decorum and practicing religious ceremonies, holding authoritative status in guiding the transmission and standardization of modern Buddhist ritual regulations.
