### 第三項　功益

▲歸敬儀云『經云、若人得聞常住二字、是人生生不墮惡趣。斯何故耶。以知法佛本性常故。一時聞解、熏本識心、業種既成、淨信無失。況能立願歸依、奉為師範。固當累劫清勝、義無陷沒。如經、有人受三歸依、彌勒初會解脫生死。此乃出苦海之良津、入佛法之階位。　但以罪多惡重、輕而慢者、雖曾受歸、隨緣還失。是故。智人初受歸時、專心緣此、得名歸依。故感善神隨逐護助。』見釋門歸敬儀第二

△歸敬儀又云『以諸道俗有識之徒、皆須歸依三寶、請求加護。所得功德無有限量。　七眾約戒、前已受歸。不妨重受、重感無作。善惡既爾、戒亦通之。　若未受戒、止得但受翻邪三歸。日別六時、隨時便受。顯歸三寶、自誓不迴。』

△歸敬儀又云『如善生經云。若人受三自歸、所得果報不可窮盡。如四大寶藏、舉國人民七年之中運出不盡。受三歸者、其福過彼不可稱計。　又校量功德經云。四大洲中滿二乘果、有人盡形供養乃至起塔。不如男子女人作如是言、我某甲歸依佛法僧。所得功德不可思議。以諸福中、唯三寶勝故。　又雜含經云。與須達交者、令受三歸、終生天上。有懷妊者、為其胎子受三自歸。生已、復受。後有知見、復教三歸。設有奴婢客人懷妊生子、亦如是教。若買奴婢、受三歸及以五戒、然後買之。不能、不買。乃至乞貸舉息、要受三歸、然後與之。若有施三寶物者、從世尊聞、稱名咒願、乃得生天。佛言、善哉、如來有無上知見、審知方便、皆得生天。』已上皆見釋門歸敬儀第九

> The \*Guijing Yi\* further states: "As the \*Good Birth Sutra\* says: 'If a person receives the Threefold Refuge, the resulting merit and reward are inexhaustible. It is like the four great treasuries—even if all the people of a nation worked for seven years, they could not empty them. The merit of receiving the Threefold Refuge surpasses even that, beyond all measure.' "Moreover, the \*Sutra on Comparing Merits\* says: 'If the four great continents were filled with the fruits of the Two Vehicles, and someone were to make offerings for their entire life, even building stupas, it would not compare to a man or woman saying, "I, so-and-so, take refuge in the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha." The merit gained is inconceivable, for among all blessings, only the Three Jewels are supreme.' "Additionally, the \*Samyukta Agama\* says: 'Those who associate with Sudatta are led to receive the Threefold Refuge and will be reborn in heaven. For those who are pregnant, the Threefold Refuge is received on behalf of the fetus. After birth, it is received again. Later, when the child gains understanding, they are taught the Threefold Refuge. Even if slaves or guests are pregnant and give birth, they are taught in the same way. If buying slaves, have them receive the Threefold Refuge and the Five Precepts before purchasing; if they cannot, do not buy. Even when lending or borrowing, ensure they receive the Threefold Refuge before proceeding. Those who make offerings to the Three Jewels, upon hearing the Buddha's name and receiving blessings, will be reborn in heaven.' The Buddha said, 'Excellent! The Tathagata possesses supreme knowledge and insight, knowing with certainty the skillful means by which all may be reborn in heaven.'"<note place="inline">The above passages are all found in the ninth chapter of the \*Shimen Guijing Yi\*.</note>
