Four Essential Practices for Young Buddhists by Master Hongyi Li Shutong, written during the Republic of China period, serves as a practical guide for cultivation amid social turbulence and the spiritual confusion of youth. The text emphasizes four core principles for young Buddhists: cherishing blessings, embracing labor, upholding precepts, and maintaining self-respect. It aims to cultivate virtues such as diligence, diligence in practice, discipline, and self-dignity. As an important modern Buddhist text, it integrates traditional precepts with contemporary needs, using plain language to convey profound meaning. It offers practical guidance for young practitioners and holds significant influence in the education of lay Buddhists within Chinese Buddhism.

Master Hongyi

The Yangzheng Academy has now been operating for over a year, and its reputation in the outside world is excellent. This is thanks to Master Ruijin's leadership and the dedicated support of the many venerable masters, which has allowed us to achieve such results.

Coming to Xiamen this time and having the chance to visit here fills me with great joy. Everything has been arranged perfectly—even the floor is swept spotlessly clean, which is rarely seen elsewhere.
