### 雪韻兄入山話舊二首

> Two Poems Recalling Old Times with Xueyun in the Mountains

尚憶追隨日，蹉跎又十年。溪山故無恙，雲樹自依然。楊柳春風夜，菊花秋雁天。懷君殊未已，相對可忘言。

> I still recall those days of following you, And ten more years have slipped away. The streams and hills remain unchanged, The clouds and trees stay as before. On willow-lined spring wind nights, Under chrysanthemum and autumn wild geese skies, My longing for you has never ceased, Yet face to face, words are forgotten.

自昔稱知己，於今四十年。君歸婁水上，我向釣灘邊。共入汾州室，誰高清素禪？遙憐帶水隔，重問剡溪船。

> For forty years, since we first called each other friends, You have returned to the waters of Luo River, and I to the fishing shore. Together we entered the meditation hall of Fenzhou— But who has truly mastered the pure Zen of Qing-su? From afar I pity the waters that now separate us, And again I ask about a boat to Shanxi River.
