> Longevity Ode for Grand Historian Hui'an

山外茆堂松竹幽，素袍笻杖自優游。群賢擬續耆英會，函谷遙看紫氣浮。溪上桃花秦日月，門前柳樹晉春秋。天書此日求名碩，渭水重徵第一流。

> Beyond the mountains, a thatched hut nestled among pines and bamboo, serene and secluded. In a plain robe, with a bamboo staff, I wander freely at my ease. Gathering sages, we plan to continue the gathering of venerable elders, Gazing afar at the Hangu Pass, where purple mists drift and float. Peach blossoms by the stream recall the days of Qin, Willows before the gate mark the passing seasons of Jin. Today, the imperial summons seeks the renowned and wise, Once more from the Wei River, the finest talents are called forth.
