### 菰溪舊居即事

> Solitary Life at Gu Creek

繞屋梅花映曲塘，晚風春月夜凝香。村深喜隔人間世，碧嶠丹崖是帝鄉。

> Plum blossoms circle the house, mirrored in the winding pond; Evening breeze, spring moon, night gathers their fragrance. Deep in the village, glad to be apart from the world of men— Green peaks and crimson cliffs are the land of the immortals.

似避風塵入翠微，瘦笻相倚聽鶯啼。一簾曉雨侵衣袂，楊柳青青罩碧溪。

> Like seeking refuge from the world's dust, I enter this emerald retreat, Leaning on a slender bamboo staff, I listen to the orioles' sweet call. Morning rain seeps through the curtain, dampening my sleeves, While willow trees, fresh and green, drape over the jade-green stream.

漫說當年繼祖燈，冰霜端不昧平生。青山笑我歸來晚，一片荒畬著意耕。

> Let's not dwell on the past and the lineage's lamp; Through frost and ice, my true self remains unshaken. The green hills smile at my late return, And I set my heart to tending this wild, untamed field.

曲曲溪迴老圃家，石橋春畫柳煙斜。田翁也解其中趣，放下肩鋤看落花。

> Winding streams curl around the old gardener's home, Stone bridge in spring light, willow mist drifts low. The village elder too knows the joy within, Sets down his hoe upon his shoulder, watches the falling blossoms.
