巖壑秋深，蒹葭思切。忽雲翰之來詢，正天香之始吐。籃輿入山，與山谷當年佳話，亦復不遠。肅候清輝，臨楮瞻切。

> Deep in the autumn mountains, among the reeds and rushes, my thoughts grow keen. Suddenly your letter arrives, just as the heavenly fragrance begins to bloom. Carrying my sedan chair into the hills, I recall the fine words spoken in the valleys years ago—they are not far off. I await your clear radiance with reverence; as I set brush to paper, my gaze stretches toward you with longing.
