### 示松谿禪人

松溪呈紙一幅乞開示，老僧曰：「如許之年還在問路，然而路頭不在別處，只在自己腳跟下。此腳跟下且荊棘、且石頭，橫來豎去，築著磕著，是阿誰主張？若此處覷得破，舉足無非是道場。」

> Songxi presented a sheet of paper, requesting guidance. The old monk said: "At your age, you are still asking for the way. Yet the path is not somewhere else—it is right beneath your own feet. And right here, beneath your feet, there are thorns and stones; they come sideways, they come straight, you stumble over them, you knock against them—who is it that presides over all this? If you can see through this very point, then every step you take is a place of awakening."
