### 復新寧眾檀越

> Renewal for the Benefactors of Xinling

虎口橫身，佛頭著糞，乃沒性命人行履。承眾檀越遠念山緇一場，特地敢以顧性命而後為乎！只得將牛山句子勉強道出，向來與未來、似而不似處好與三十棒。何以故？山僧本分艸料不可放過，呵呵。

> I stretch my body across the tiger's mouth, and throw filth on the Buddha's head—this is the conduct of one who has cast aside life and death. Since you, the generous donors, have thought of this mountain monk from afar, I dare not cling to my own safety! So I can only force out these words from Niushan, and where the past and future seem alike yet not alike, thirty blows would be fitting. Why? Because this mountain monk's fundamental provisions cannot be neglected. Hehe.
