> Instructions for Guan Zhong Layman Xiao Hongshao

青青雙徑竹，苒苒幾叢花，聲色如朝露，利名若焰華。相忘於道術，脫略遍塵沙，水止含物靜，心狂逐事斜。止狂俱坐卻，別是一生涯，無作悲智力，曉諸三有家。

> By the paired bamboo paths, green and serene, A few clusters of flowers, tender and clean. Sounds and sights are like morning dew, Fame and fortune, like sparks, fleeting too. In the Way's arts, we forget each other, Transcending the dust, sister and brother. Still water mirrors all, peaceful and clear, A restless mind chases, and troubles appear. Let go of restlessness and stillness both, A different life unfolds, a sacred oath. No need to force wisdom or compassion's might, Just awaken to the Three Realms' true light.
