虛空作蓋，片石為床，萬年一念，潔己如霜。了知自性是佛，那管東土西方？即塵而頭頭合道，出世而法法較量，風流賣盡求知己，面目從教供影堂。且道此老是誰？噫！善慧庵裏白懷老宿。

> Void sky as canopy, a slab of stone for bed, ten thousand years in a single thought, pure as frost. Clearly knowing your own nature is Buddha, why care for East or West? Amidst dust, every head meets the Way; beyond the world, every dharma is measured. Selling all elegance to seek a confidant, the true face offered to the shadow hall. Now, who is this elder? Ah! The venerable old master Bai Huai of Shanhui Hermitage.
