> Portrait Eulogy for Lay Buddhist Zhu Liaofan

虛空其懷，蟠根為座，一目萬里，無誰能佐？氣宇清瑩，縱情自大，傲骨天生，陽春少和。如維摩之於毘耶，杜口獨坐；如龐公之見馬師，西江吸盡。了卻凡心兮，即是佛心；一自無何有兮，大道殊勝。

> His heart is vast as open space, rooted in stillness as his seat. With a single glance, he sees ten thousand miles—who could ever aid him? His spirit is clear and luminous, unrestrained and self-assured; his proud bones are born of nature, yet in the warm spring, few harmonize with him. Like Vimalakirti in Vaishali, he falls silent and sits alone; like Pang Gong meeting Master Ma, he drinks the West River dry. Once the mundane mind is shed, that itself is the Buddha-mind; from the realm of nothingness arises the supreme path.
