### 第十四　是第一品

> Chapter 14

一

> One

「諸比丘！我聲聞中〔第一〕比丘，出家久者，是阿若憍陳如。大慧者，是為舍利弗。具神通者，是大目犍連。教頭陀者，是為摩訶迦葉。具天眼者，是為阿那律。貴族者，是婆提優卡力句塔耶。妙音者，是拉窟他卡婆提耶。作師子吼者，是為賓度羅跋囉墮闍。說法者，是分耨文陀尼子。廣為分別略說者，是摩訶迦旃延。

> "O, Bhikkhus! Among my disciples who have attained the fruit of Stream-entry, the first to go forth into homelessness is Ajñāta Kauṇḍinya. He who possesses great wisdom is Śāriputra. He who is endowed with supernatural powers is Mahā-Maudgalyāyana. He who teaches the ascetic practices is Mahā-Kāśyapa. He who possesses the divine eye is Aniruddha. He who is of noble birth is Vatsa. He who has a beautiful voice is Rāṣṭrapāla. He who roars the lion's roar is Piṇḍola-Bhāradvāja. He who expounds the Dharma is Puṇṇa-Mantāṇiputta. He who elaborates on the concise teachings is Mahā-Kātyāyana."

> Two

諸比丘！我聲聞中〔第一〕比丘意成身者，是朱利槃特。心解脫善巧者，是朱利槃特。慧解脫善巧者，是摩訶槃毒。住無諍者，是須菩提。應供養者，是須菩提。住阿蘭若者，是哩縛帝佉彌囉縛　。住定者，是頡離伐多。發勤精進者，是為室縷拏俱胝頻設。善語者，是室縷窟底卡諾（億耳）。利得者，是尸拔羅。信勝解者，是婆迦利。

> O monks! Among my disciples, the monk who has attained mastery over the form created by the mind is Cūlapanthaka. The one skilled in liberation of the heart is Cūlapanthaka. The one skilled in liberation through wisdom is Mahāpanthaka. The one who dwells in non-contention is Subhūti. The one worthy of offerings is Subhūti. The one who dwells in the forest is Revata. The one who dwells in meditative concentration is Kālodayin. The one who exerts diligent effort is Śroṇakoṭīviṃśa. The one who speaks skillfully is Śroṇakotikarṇa. The one who gains benefit is Śīvali. The one with firm faith is Vakkalī.

> Three

諸比丘！我聲聞中〔第一〕比丘，好學者是羅睺羅。信出家者，是羅吒波羅。初得餐券者，是軍頭波漠。具辯才者，是鵬耆舍。普端嚴者，是優波斯那婆檀提子。敷牀座者，是沓婆摩羅子。諸天所愛樂者，是畢鄰陀婆蹉。速疾神通者，是婆希耶達如支利亞〔著樹皮衣〕。妙說者，是為鳩摩羅迦葉。得無礙解者，是摩訶拘絺羅。

> O monks! Among my disciples, the foremost in diligence is Rahula. The one who left home out of faith is Ratthapala. The first to receive the meal ticket is Kundadhana. The one endowed with eloquence is Piṅgiya. The one universally dignified is Upasena, son of Vaṅganta. The one who prepares the seats is Dabba Mallaputta. The one beloved by the gods is Pilindavaccha. The one with swift supernatural powers is Bakkula. The one who speaks beautifully is Kumāra Kassapa. The one who attains unimpeded understanding is Mahā Koṭṭhita.

四

> Four

諸比丘！我聲聞〔第一〕比丘多聞者，是阿難。具憶念者，是阿難。具悟解者，是阿難。具堅固者，是阿難。近侍者，是阿難。具大眾者，是優樓頻羅迦葉。歡悅於家門者，是柯留陀夷。無病者，是薄俱羅。隨念宿住者，是輸毘多。持律者，是優波離。教授比丘尼者，是難陀迦。守護根門者，是難陀。教授比丘者，是摩訶劫賓那。火界善巧者，是娑竭陀。能起辯才者，是羅陀。持麤衣者，是謨賀囉惹。

> Monks! Among my disciples, the foremost in learning is Ananda. The foremost in memory is Ananda. The foremost in understanding is Ananda. The foremost in steadfastness is Ananda. The foremost attendant is Ananda. The foremost in gathering a large following is Uruvela Kassapa. The foremost in bringing joy to families is Kaludayi. The foremost in freedom from illness is Bakkula. The foremost in recollecting past lives is Sobhita. The foremost in upholding the monastic discipline is Upali. The foremost in instructing nuns is Nandaka. The foremost in guarding the sense doors is Nanda. The foremost in instructing monks is Maha Kappina. The foremost in mastery of the fire element is Sāgata. The foremost in inspiring eloquent discourse is Radha. The foremost in wearing coarse robes is Mogharaja.

五

> Five

諸比丘！我聲聞中〔第一〕比丘尼，出家久者，是摩訶波闍波提瞿曇彌。大慧者，是讖摩。具神通者，優婆拉瓦那是〔蓮華色〕。持律者，是波吒左囉。說法者，是曇摩提那。靜慮者，是難陀。發勤精進者，是索那。具天眼者，是奢拘梨。疾速神通者，是跋陀軍陀羅拘夷國。隨念宿住者，是跋陀迦比羅。得大神通者，是巴達卡恰那。持麤衣者，是翅舍憍答彌。信解者，是私伽羅母。

> O monks! Among my disciples, the nun who is foremost in seniority of ordination is Mahapajapati Gotami. The one of great wisdom is Khema. The one endowed with supernatural powers is Uppalavanna (Lotus-Colored). The upholder of the monastic discipline is Patacara. The teacher of the Dharma is Dhammadinna. The one accomplished in meditation is Nanda. The one of diligent exertion is Sona. The one possessing the divine eye is Sakula. The one of swift supernatural powers is Bhadda Kundalakesa from the country of the Kurus. The one who recollects past lives is Bhadda Kapilani. The one who has attained great supernatural powers is Bhadda Kaccana. The wearer of coarse robes is Kisagotami. The one of profound faith and understanding is Sigalamata.

六

> Six

諸比丘！我弟子中〔第一〕優婆塞，最初歸依者，是多梨富沙、婆梨迦二商人。施者是善施居士給孤獨。說法者是質多居士。以四攝事攝眾者是呵多阿羅婆。施上味者，是摩訶那摩釋迦氏。施悅意食者，是郁伽居士毘舍離出。近事僧伽者，是嗢羯吒居士。不動信者，是斯拉安巴它。對人淳厚者，是紀巴卡扣馬拉巴洽〔童子醫王耆域〕。可倚信之語者，是那拘羅父居士。

> O monks! Among my lay disciples, the first to take refuge were the two merchants, Dali Fusha and Polijia. The foremost donor is the householder Sudatta, known as Anathapindika. The foremost expounder of the Dharma is the householder Citta. The foremost in gathering people through the four means of attraction is Hatthaka of Alavi. The foremost in offering the finest food is Mahānāma the Sakyan. The foremost in offering pleasing food is the householder Ugga of Vesali. The foremost in serving the Sangha is the householder Uggata. The foremost in unwavering faith is Sūra Ambaṭṭha. The foremost in kindness toward people is Jīvaka Komārabhacca, the royal physician. The foremost in trustworthy speech is the householder Nakula's father.

七

> Seven

諸比丘！我弟子中〔第一〕優婆夷，最初歸依者，是斯佳它塞那尼。施者，是毘舍佉彌伽羅母。多聞者，是久壽多羅。住慈〔定〕者，是奢摩囉帝。靜慮者，是鬱多羅難陀母。施上味者是斯巴伐沙扣利亞女。看病者，是須毘耶優婆夷。不動信者，是迦帝耶尼。可倚信語者，是那拘羅母居家女。隨聞得信者，是迦羅優婆夷。」

> O monks! Among my female lay disciples, the first to take refuge is Sigata-senani. The foremost in generosity is Visakha Migara-mata. The most learned is Kujuttara. The one abiding in loving-kindness is Samavati. The one skilled in meditation is Uttara-nanda-mata. The one who offers exquisite food is Suppavasa Koliyadhita. The one who cares for the sick is Sujata. The one of unwavering faith is Kali Kuraragharika. The one whose words can be trusted is Nakula-mata. The one who gains faith upon hearing the Dharma is Kala.
