> Chapter 113

「諸比丘！世間有三種人之存在。云何為三種人耶？

> “Monks, there are three kinds of people in this world. What are the three kinds?”

是容易被量、難量、不可量也。

> It can be easily fathomed, or with difficulty fathomed, or utterly unfathomable.

諸比丘！又，誰是容易被量之人耶？

> Monks, and who is someone who is easy to evaluate?

諸比丘！世有一類人，具傲慢、貢高、輕躁、饒舌、談散漫而失念、不正知而心不定、心散動放蕩諸根。諸比丘！此說為容易被量之人。

> Monks, there is a type of person in the world who is arrogant, proud, restless, talkative, speaks carelessly without mindfulness, lacks clear comprehension, is mentally unstable, and whose senses are scattered and wild. Monks, such a person is called someone who is easily measured.

諸比丘！又，誰是難量之人耶？

> Monks, who is the truly immeasurable?

諸比丘！世有一類之人，不傲慢、不貢高、不輕躁、不饒舌、不談散漫、正念、正知而心定、心專注以擁護諸根。比丘眾！此說為難量之人。

> Monks! There is a kind of person in this world who is not arrogant, not conceited, not restless, not talkative, not scattered in speech, mindful, aware, with a settled mind, and focused on guarding the senses. Monks, this person is called one who is difficult to fathom.

諸比丘！又誰是不可量之人耶？

> Monks, who is the immeasurable one?

諸比丘！世有比丘、阿羅漢而漏盡也。諸比丘！此說為不可量之人。諸比丘！世中有此等三人存在也。」

> Monks, there are bhikkhus who have attained Arhatship and have eradicated all defilements. Monks, these are called immeasurable beings. Monks, these three kinds of persons exist in the world.
