> Three Days Before the Double Ninth Festival, Rejoicing in the Visit of Mr. Wang, the Lord of Eminence

深知少出子雲廬，此日登臨菊正舒。掃徑葉飛驚野鳥，呼童茶熟候高車。龍山路近閒裁賦，鳳闕天遙懶上書。直是陶公重結社，得君佳句勝瓊琚。

> Deep in my rustic thatched hut, seldom I stir, Today I climb the hill — chrysanthemums in full bloom. Sweeping the path, leaves startle wild birds from their rest; Calling the boy, tea is ready; I await your honored cart. The Dragon Mountain path is near; idly I compose verses; The Phoenix Palace gates are far; too lazy to send petitions. Truly, like Tao Qian of old, a society reformed— Your fine verses are more precious than jade and gems.
