### 四祖優波鞠多尊者

> Fourth Patriarch, Venerable Upagupta

十七證十力，道震魔軍怖。三尸酬瓔珞，群魔罷牴牾。石室籌化機，奚不怕沙數？香眾長者子，不與羊皮伍。數語代懸金，即為授剃度。汝父夢金日，大法之園圃。心法本諸法，我悟契汝悟。踴身虛空中，竟趨涅槃路。闍維用室籌，雲散陰風暮。

> Seventeen to prove the Ten Powers, The Path shakes the demon army with fright. Three corpses repaid with jeweled necklaces, Demons ceased their conflict and spite. In a stone chamber, planning the Dharma's course, Why fear the grains of sand's endless source? A noble elder's son in the fragrant crowd, He would not with sheepskin be endowed. A few words replaced a gold offering's cost, Thus for him the tonsure rites were embossed. Your father dreamed of a golden sun, The garden of the Great Dharma begun. The Mind-Dharma is the root of all Dharmas true, My awakening mirrors and corresponds to you. He leaps into empty space, body sublime, And swiftly walks the path of Nirvana's time. Cremation used the stone chamber's plan, Clouds scattered in the dark wind's span.
