咦！遮箇惡禿，天生悻物。衲子之冤，口甜心毒。敗壞宗乘，傷人眼目。活噉乾坤，生吞祖佛。箇是阿誰？山南子肅。遮漢之真，通身是假。坐斷終南，如聾如啞。手裏烏藤，魔佛俱打。得人一牛，還人一馬。莫謂無人，相逢者寡。正令全提，可知禮也。

> <note place="inline">Whoa!</note><row>This wicked bald monk, born with a bitter nature. A plague to monks, honeyed words but a poisonous heart. Corrupts the teachings, blinds the eyes of seekers. Devours the cosmos alive, swallows patriarchs and Buddhas whole. Who is this? Shunan Zisu. This man's so-called truth is all pretense. Seated atop Zhongnan Mountain, deaf and mute as can be. With a vine staff in hand, he strikes both demons and Buddhas alike. If you give him an ox, he'll return a horse. Don't say no one knows—few ever meet him. When the full command is raised, do you know the courtesy?</row>

咄！謂是蟠龍，本無此相；謂非蟠龍，即有此相。莫把是非來辯我，生涯只在千峰上。

> Halt! It is said to be a coiled dragon, yet it has no such form; it is said not to be a coiled dragon, yet that form exists. Do not debate right and wrong with me—my life is lived only atop a thousand peaks.
