Recorded at Liuyang Shishuang Zen Temple
Incense offering at the Pagoda of Ancestor Ciming:
"Personally meeting Fenyang, extinguishing Linji, He stirred up Huanglong's fatal illness, Leaving harm for the future; Though he wielded Shending's inverted grip, What proof does it truly hold? For millennia, few forests have stood — Eyes empty, without fear or taboo, His whole body enters samadhi amid tangled grass, Yet another fine voice stirs heaven and earth." Then he made a full prostration.
(Sweeping the stupa, moving the candles, and offering incense:)
"Where wisdom cannot reach, do not speak of it— Shamelessly showing off your pitiful tricks all your life. By the Poison Dragon Pond, in Phoenix Mountain, There is no need to borrow thunder’s roar to make a stir."
(Glancing to the left and right) "Hmm?"
