> Venerable Seventh

臨水側坐，有龍出焉，吐珠其手中。胡人持短錫杖，蠻奴捧缽而立。

> Sitting sideways by the water, a dragon emerged and placed a pearl in their hand. A foreigner held a short tin staff, while a barbarian servant stood holding a bowl.

奪頷下珠，不無尊者。何似驪龍，有而能捨。笑殺旁觀胡漢兒，一杖挑翻須彌山，一缽啗乾滄溟水。咦，我也放不得爾。

> Stealing the pearl from under the dragon's chin—how could the Venerable One not possess such skill? Yet unlike the black dragon who hoards his treasure, the Venerable One had the ability to let go. How the spectators—Chinese and Westerners alike—must laugh! A single staff topples Mount Sumeru. A single bowl drains the vast oceans dry. Ah—but even I cannot let you go.
