「瞻之彌高，仰之彌堅，德厚配地，高明配天。恁麼說話大事，佛頭撒糞，醬裏添鹽。雖然如是，若不登高望，焉知宇宙寬？」喝一喝，云：「今日到來無一事，謾將幽韻作長吟。」

> Looking up, it grows ever higher; gazing at it, it grows ever firmer. Its virtue is vast, matching the earth; its brilliance is lofty, matching the heavens. Speaking of such great matters—placing filth on the Buddha's head, adding salt to the sauce. Even so, if one does not climb to a height and look afar, how would one know the vastness of the universe? He gave a shout and said: "Today, nothing has come to pass; casually, I turn a quiet melody into a long chant."
