### 第二十一代少室靈隱文泰禪師

> Thirty-First Patriarch Shaoshi Lingyin Wentai

當機一句試拈來，開口家產被人沒；撫掌其誰奈我何？風顛箇漢能穎脫。塵剎底事，喝彩示人；笑他覿面太分明，翻自抱贓而叫屈。僧參纔展具，天網何恢恢？禹門曾未跳，驀與一聲雷。撐得飯袋子，有頭無尾；可惜桃花浪，徒自曝腮。

> When a moment of insight is offered, once spoken, your family fortune is gone; clap your hands—who can do a thing to me? A mad fellow like this can break free. Matters of the countless worlds, he reveals them with a shout; laugh at him—face to face it is all too clear, yet he clings to stolen goods and cries injustice. A monk comes to pay his respects, unrolling his mat—how vast and far-reaching the net of heaven! Before ever leaping over the dragon gate, suddenly a clap of thunder. Stuff your belly with a bag of rice, head but no tail; pity the peach-blossom waves, where he only bares his gills.
