### 第三十一代江西建武壽昌無明慧經禪師三

> 31st Generation: Jiangxi Jianwu Shouchang Wuming Huijing Chan Master (3)

金剛印上出娘胎，此箇經兒帶得來；終始脫如盧行者，好山何讓樹臺推？西江喝起新豐月，海岳風生趨下列；策杖重登少室堂，大撾塗毒聲何烈？北去臺山遇瑞峰，兩相酬唱展斯宗；濟門尚有個知己，渠亦因之始露蹤。此事不難於自了，管窺天地一何小？寥寥千聖賴於今，行解相應堪不朽。钁頭舉起識還希，奪食驅耕別有機；垂足巖前苔路滑，孤峰千古幾能歸？

> Born from the mother's womb bearing the "Diamond Seal," This Sutra-child arrives already in hand. From start to finish, free like the Chan patriarch Lu, What noble mountain yields to a platform's view? Over West River rises the moon of New Prosperity; Wind and sea surge forth to bow under authority. Staff in hand, I climb once more to Shaolin Hall— How fierce the sound of striking poison's call! North to Mount Tai, I met Jade Peak in bloom; Two minds exchanged, unfolding this true Room. The Gate of Ji still keeps a knowing friend— Through him, at last, the hidden path extends. This matter's not too hard when self's complete: What small specks, earth and sky, from one peephole we meet! Now, few sages of a thousand years depend on this: Conduct paired with insight—an immortal bliss. Lifting the hoe, knowing yet remains unclear; Snatching food, driving oxen—another technique's here. By moss-slicked trails before the cliff's steep face— How many through the ages find that lonely peak's home-place?

阿呵呵，者老漢！究竟你生平，喫飯與人一般香，屙屎與人一般臭，何故滿天下人，箇箇稱玄讚妙？莫是你于世法出世法別有一竅麼？噫！不是你腳下者箇兒孫，爭解向你面前發者一笑。

> Ah ha ha, this old fellow! Throughout your entire life, you ate your meals and smelled the same as anyone else, you passed waste and stank just like everyone. Why then do people all over the world, every last one of them, praise you as profound and marvelous? Could it be that you had some special trick or secret passage in worldly and transcendent matters? Hah! Were it not for this descendant here at your feet, who else could dare to offer such a laugh right before you?

洞上宗風，幸翁振起；惟彼好山，從茲仰止。一把钁頭，千里活埋；不立門庭，八字打門。嗣有二子，博山東苑；類之弗齊，隱則愈顯。再繼其後，悟者自知；是真慧日，出必先輝。我哲侍者，請作斯贊；親筆受之，萬古血汗。

> The Dongshan lineage's tradition— Master Xing revived it with vigor. That mountain so fine— From this moment, all gaze upward in reverence. A single hoe, buried alive for a thousand miles; No gateway established, yet eight characters open the door. Two successors followed: Boshan and Dongyuan. Those who resemble are not truly aligned; What is hidden becomes ever more apparent. After them, those who awaken know for themselves; This is the true sun of wisdom— When it appears, it must shine first. My attendant Zhe requests this eulogy; He wrote it with his own hand— Ten thousand ages of blood and sweat.
