### 懷鴛湖禪兄雪峰作

本是故鄉人，同為異鄉客，客路何參差？一得復一失。得者全節名，失者信狼藉，蒲團補愈穿，毬門路愈塞。賴有望州亭，引領慰朝夕，每見非其人，中心轉抑抑。三界無歸期，唯期共加食。

> We are all natives of the same homeland, yet strangers in a foreign land—why do our paths diverge so? One gains, another loses. The one who gains keeps his integrity intact; the one who loses finds his reputation ruined. The meditation cushion, patched again and again, grows ever thinner; the goal of the game, once within reach, now seems more distant. Thanks to the Wangzhou Pavilion, I can lift my gaze and find comfort through the days and nights. Yet each time I see someone who is not the one I seek, my heart sinks deeper into melancholy. In the three realms, there is no home to return to; all we can do is share a meal together.
