> Traveling Far with Cloud Mirror: Three Verses as a Gift

饒不出門亦是草，遊情當下宜了了，囊中惜取草鞋錢，路債須防人索討。

> Even without leaving home, the grass still grows; Wanderers' thoughts should be settled here and now. Keep what's in your pouch—the price of straw sandals; Beware, for on the road, debts may be called due.

出門便覺草萋萋，良驥偏為鞭影欺，何似牧童揚曲去，飽餐黃犢任東西。

萬里無寸草處去，死蛇滿路須迴避，逢人急著早歸鞭，共我開田說大義。

> Travel to the place where not a blade of grass grows for ten thousand miles; The road is strewn with dead snakes—be careful to avoid them. When you meet someone, hurry and turn back early, And join me in tilling the fields to speak of the great truth.
