### 龍泉寺改應為禪募疏

> Dragon Spring Temple Renovation Fundraising Appeal

刱業易，守成難，此世俗家之說也。佛家亦然，一人為道處亦隨之而興，興必有衰，衰而不至淹沒無跡者，賴應教存羊之守居多也，以羊存故有賢子孫者出，知禮之可復，則合眾歸仁焉。內仁而外必有仁者至，此龍泉劍合之舉，感來平石禪友之謂也。人有一矣，翕然來歸，十方響應，轉瓦礫作金碧，特易易耳。將使天下應門徒守，而不能克一己之私者，聞此發心躍然，樂改為禪，當自龍泉始，善信其樂助之。

> Creating something is easy, but preserving it is difficult—this is what ordinary families say. The same holds true in Buddhism. When one person devotes themselves to the Way, a place of practice arises with them. Whatever rises must eventually decline, yet if it does not vanish without a trace, it is largely due to those who uphold the teaching as carefully as one preserves a sacrificial sheep. Because the sheep remains, worthy descendants emerge, knowing that ritual can be restored. When they unite in virtue, benevolence takes root within, and inevitably people of kindness gather from without. This is the meaning of the Dragon Spring sword coming together—a response to the call of the Zen friend Ping Shi from afar. Once such a person appears, followers gather eagerly, responding from all ten directions. Turning rubble into golden splendor becomes an easy task. And those across the land who merely guard the gates of others' teachings, unable to overcome their own selfishness, will hear of this and feel their hearts leap with inspiration, gladly turning to Zen practice. This transformation should begin at Dragon Spring. Let all the faithful joyfully support it.
