### 與嚴印持居士
> To Layman Yan Yinzhi
別後訪瓶窯老師，談及法門，何啻抓著癢處？惜居士輩不在座，未便趁水推船耳。其間更多忍俊不禁處，俟晤語時述之。倘有及於子將居士，幸以此意通之，使此老不致埋沒一生掃蕩。近日野狐狂妄，然得處所就成、廣容萬指，不可不商諸海岸公也。心海師卜居淨林寺側，獲一訪之，恨識之晚。彼聞居士許我度歲山中、亦為生喜，品字爐頭，當有一段佳話在也。
> After parting, I visited Master Bing Yao and discussed the Dharma with him—it was as if I had scratched precisely where it itched! What a pity that you and the other lay practitioners were not present; otherwise, we could have gone with the flow and expanded the discussion. There were many more moments that made me smile inwardly, which I will save to share when we meet in person. If you happen to speak with Layman Zijiang, please convey this sentiment to him, so that this old master's lifelong efforts of sweeping away attachments are not buried in obscurity. Recently, the wild foxes of false views have grown arrogant, yet the realization they attain is still a place to stand, and their capacity can embrace all beings—this is something worth consulting with Minister Hai'an about. Master Xinhai has chosen to reside near Jinglin Temple, and I managed to visit him once, only regretting that I did not make his acquaintance earlier. When he heard that you had agreed to spend the New Year with me in the mountains, he was delighted as well. By the warmth of the brazier with its three-legged incense burner, there should surely be a fine story to come.

嘉興府梅溪菴通勝助刻資貳兩，東塔盛時壹兩，淨朝五錢，通識三錢，宛在菴行普壹兩，仝壽梓。
