### 闔郡紳衿士庶等請啟代理方廣禪院

伏以杯渡江上，曾開西國之宗；飛錫峰頭，尚啟東林之寺。況此臨江之盛剎，舊衍法派于隆昌。一線孤懸，直溯西來印證；群情共仰，莫不北面皈依。人與天通，事從緣起。恭惟竺翁大和尚，道識九如，心通三昧。參宗旨于臨濟，掩關即是深山；創祗園于柳溪，隨處皆成淨土。緬茲東明古院，昔稱佛日紺宮。勝國綸音，特敕招提之美；桑田滄海，久渺衣缽之傳。苟非法棟支持，能保精藍再盛？羅鈺、允貞等，夙欽道力，敬迓雲軿；念此剎乃雲根名勝之區，惟和尚有慈航普渡之願。一肩兩荷，瓶缽到處是生涯；五覺三皈，棒喝聆時皆龍象。伏願　猊旄夙駕，麈拂遙臨。鹿苑重新，亦是栴檀繼跡；雞林再造，挹茲青翠浮光。從此霜月鐘聲，盡人拈花之案；抑且樵歌牧唱，無非擊竹之機。四眾傾心，千秋奇遇。臨啟無任稽首翹望之至。謹啟。

> I respectfully invoke the legacy of the Master who crossed the river on a wooden cup, establishing the founding school of the West; and the one who, staff in hand, alighted on the mountain peak, giving rise to the temple of Eastern Grove. How much more so for this grand riverside monastery, which long upheld the Dharma lineage from Longchang. A single thread, delicately suspended, traces directly back to the seal of realization brought from the West. All beings look up to it with reverence, turning northward in devotion. Humanity and Heaven are connected; events arise from conditions. With deepest respect, I honor the Great Master Zhuweng, whose virtue embodies the ninefold blessings and whose mind penetrates the threefold meditative absorption. He has grasped the essential teaching of the Linji lineage; retreating behind closed doors, he dwells in deep mountains. He established a Pure Land garden at Liuxi, transforming any place into a realm of purity. Reflecting on this ancient Eastern Clarity courtyard, once known as the Buddha-Sun Temple of azure halls—though imperial edicts of a former dynasty bestowed upon it the beauty of a renowned monastery, through the vicissitudes of time, the transmission of robe and bowl has long faded. Without a pillar of the Dharma to support it, how could this jeweled sanctuary flourish once more? Luo Yu, Yun Zhen, and others, having long admired the power of your path, respectfully welcome your arrival on cloud-borne carriage. Recognizing this monastery as a renowned site of Cloud Root, and knowing that only the Master holds the compassionate vow of the ferry of liberation, we entrust this burden to your shoulders. Wherever the pitcher and bowl travel, there is livelihood; when the staff and shout are heard, all who listen become dragons and elephants. We humbly pray that the lion banner be swiftly set in motion, that the whisk of Dharma be graced from afar. May the Deer Park be renewed, continuing the footsteps of sandalwood; may the grove of sacred trees be reborn, imbued with the radiance of verdant light. From this time onward, the frosty moonlight and temple bells shall become cases for all to contemplate the flower; and the woodcutter's song and shepherd's tune shall be opportunities for striking bamboo and awakening. The four assemblies devote their hearts—a rare encounter for a thousand years. In parting, we bow our heads with utmost reverence and gaze upward in hopeful anticipation. Respectfully submitted.
