### 為父十二周年求薦拔啟

> Request for Blessings on Father's 12th Anniversary

智旭泣血稽顙，同修淨業上善勝友座下。伏為先嚴捐世，已十有二年。負債出家，方自救不了。十一月初五日，爰屬諱日。預於六月二十九日，對三寶前，然臂香三炷，供善友知識。啟請廣運慈悲，同垂濟拔，佛名神咒，經律懺悔，隨意樂為，悉資淨業，功沾沙界，果極法身，無任哀祈，肅茲遍叩。

> Zhi Xu bows with tears and sincere reverence, before the seat of the noble virtuous friends who share the pure karma practice. Because my late father has passed away for twelve years now. I took monastic vows while still weighed down by karmic debts, and can barely save even myself. On the fifth day of the eleventh month falls my father's death anniversary. In advance, on the twenty-ninth day of the sixth month, before the Three Jewels, I burned three incense sticks on my arm as an offering to good friends and spiritual guides. I earnestly request an outpouring of compassion, to join together in delivering and supporting him. Recite buddha names, sacred mantras, sutras, Vinaya texts, and repentance practices, as your hearts freely choose—all to support his pure karma. May the merit flow to fill the worlds, the fruit of practice reaching the Dharma body. In tears and supplication, I solemnly make this heartfelt plea.
