> Master Xuanlu of Nanshan

集毗尼藏，敘賓主詞。張南山之法網，修西國之真規。心淨則白月高也，道重則緇衣何之？四方招提同日月，三千衲子作威儀。

> He compiled the Vinaya Pitaka, organizing teachings on host and guest. He spread the vast Dharma-net of the Southern Mountain, cultivating the true standards of the Western Land. When the mind is pure, the white moon shines high; when the Way is honored, what need is there for black robes? Monasteries across the four directions share the same sun and moon; the three thousand monks uphold the dignified conduct.
