### 刻較正大阿彌陀經後序

> Postscript to the Revised Great Amitabha Sutra

阿彌陀佛，以法界藏身，示居西方樂土，只此微塵樂土，含攝華藏無邊剎海，不可思議。所謂權實不二法門，遍入一切眾生心想，不墮一切眾生情計者也。十方諸佛，同共稱揚，寶積大會，叮嚀勸往，別本流行，凡經四譯。有宋王龍舒居士，未睹寶積善本，輒會四譯，棄短取長，名《大阿彌陀經》，舉世流通，千餘載矣。壽生菴萬融尊宿，得坊閒舊本，較南北二藏，文理俱優，公諸孫刻之。此即法藏願輪，古今一致者也。書經者，為貞明王居士。予過吳門，為正其句讀云。

> Amitabha Buddha, embodying the Dharmakaya of the entire Dharma Realm, manifests the Western Land of Bliss. This very Land of Bliss, as small as a speck of dust, encompasses the boundless ocean of worlds within the Avatamsaka realm—truly inconceivable. This is the Dharma gate of the non-duality of provisional and ultimate truth, which pervades the thoughts of all sentient beings yet never falls into their clinging attachments. All Buddhas of the ten directions praise Him equally. In the great assembly of Ratnakuta, the Buddha earnestly urged sentient beings to be reborn in that land. Different versions of this sutra were circulated, and it was translated four times. During the Song dynasty, the lay practitioner Wang Longshu, before seeing the excellent version included in the Ratnakuta collection, attempted a compilation of the four translations, discarding the weak and selecting the strong. He named it the \*Great Amitabha Sutra\*. This version became widely circulated throughout the world for over a thousand years. The venerable master Wanrong of Shousheng Hermitage obtained an old edition from a local publisher. Comparing it with the Northern and Southern Tripitaka collections, both its wording and principles were found to be superior. He made it public for the descendants of the Sun family to carve it into blocks. This edition perfectly matches the original vows of Dharmakara Bodhisattva, being consistent across time—past and present. The calligraphy was done by the lay practitioner Zhenming. When I passed through Wumen, I corrected the punctuation for him.
