### 四無量心銘四首

> Four Inscriptions on the Four Immeasurable Minds

慈視人之善，猶己之善；視己之善，猶人之善。念念同觀，亙古無閒。法界偕遊四德城，方滿最初宏誓願。

> Regard others' virtues as your own; regard your own virtues as others'. With each thought, observe this unity—throughout all time, without pause. Together with all beings in the Dharma realm, journey through the city of the Four Virtues, and thus fulfill your primordial, great vow.

悲視人之惡，猶己之惡。視己之惡，猶人之惡。猛省力除，無令愧怍。法界眾生三毒除，彼我同歸無上覺。

> One should regard others' faults as if they were one's own. And regard their own faults as if they were others' faults. Vigorously awaken and strive to eliminate them, without resting until there is no more shame. When all beings within the realm of reality are rid of the Three Poisons, we will together attain the Supreme Enlightenment.

喜視人之樂，猶己之樂。視己之樂，猶人之樂。所欲與共，嫉妒永卻。法界同欣法喜充，不向偏空尋略彴。

> Rejoicing in the happiness of others as if it were our own. Seeing our own joy as an extension of others’ joy. Share what is wanted, and jealousy will forever depart. The Dharma realm rejoices together, filled with Dharma joy— Do not seek a shortcut in one-sided emptiness.

捨善惡性具，善惡性空，何喜何怒，如空御風。默持機感，妙應無窮，大圓鏡智照不疲，豈似權乘作意通。

> <note place="inline">Give Up</note> Good and evil both have their natures, yet both are empty in essence. What is there to rejoice or rage about? Like the wind driving through empty space, remain silent and still, yet responsive to all encounters. The wonderful function of such awareness is limitless. The great mirror-like wisdom shines tirelessly—how could it ever resemble the contrived efforts of lesser vehicles?
