> Nine Eulogies of Amitabha Buddha Image

> One finger of light shines throughout the cosmos. When ten thoughts are complete, all find freedom. The seeker and the answer connect, the living and the enlightened have no barrier. Why search for a "Self-Nature Amitabha"? This very moment is not separate from the mind.

> His light and lifespan are beyond compare, With compassionate eyes and a loving heart fully revealed. His single hand reaches across countless eons, In every way cherishing us like a parent loves their child.

> When contemplating deeply, you see the Buddha. The Buddha is always present in that contemplation. A mind that perceives all things clearly knows that everything is connected, woven together on a single thread.

> Supreme Saint of Sukhāvatī, King of Healers in the Dharma Realm. Entering the state of compassion and stillness, You shine the light of wisdom. Throughout the boundless future, You forever illuminate the ten directions. Those who think of you are held and never forgotten. With magical power like an illusion, You respond to beings and display forms. Amid the dense forest of deluded thoughts, You manifest a hundred billion splendid signs. Both the reflection and the reality are one— Not two, not separate, never mistaken. Alas, those born blind See you face to face but fail to recognize. Seeking hidden mysteries elsewhere, They fall instead into distorted views. Now I bow in reverence To your full moon of countless virtues. May all beings together Return to the peaceful land of Sukhāvatī.

> I bow to the forty-eight great vows, Each vow’s light is boundless and inexhaustible. From the source of the cause, the effect pervades, Always saving beings—the Lotus Land is like a bright mirror. Seeing the image, hearing the name, inspires the mind; Suddenly we enter the seal of the Jewel King Samadhi. Just diligently bow and pay homage without tiring— Paper and ink are originally the nature of the Dharma Realm. All things arise through conditions: empty, unreal, yet present; The four virtues and three bodies are not separate or distinct. Moreover, the clear sky reflects the full moon, And when the mind-water is pure, the moon naturally shines within.

> Two lotuses firmly beneath the feet, And empty hands filled with deep compassion. Face-to-face, we meet the Dharmakaya— The vast sky and great earth flow with fresh blood.

> The enlightened wisdom of all Buddhas, vast as the ocean, is never separate from the thoughts in the minds of living beings. Therefore, everything you see with your eyes and hear with your ears is none other than the forms and sounds of Amitabha. Foolish people abandon this and seek elsewhere, calling it "reaching for the Dharmakaya above." Who would realize that rejecting form to search for emptiness needlessly splits what is already one? If you understand that neither duality exists, then what is there to uphold about oneness? Fervently bowing and reciting the name—that itself is the supreme method.

> I bow to the Western Land of Utmost Bliss, To the Infinite Pure One of Universal Awakening, Who, mounted on the wheel of his Forty-Eight Vows, Manifests eighty-four thousand forms. Each form has eighty-four thousand marks of excellence, Each mark has eighty-four thousand rays of light, Each ray of light illuminates the entire cosmos, And gathers in all beings who recite the Buddha's name. Like a loving mother thinking of her only child, Thus he enters this king of meditative absorptions, Called "The Universal Manifestation of All Forms." A painter, empowered by this meditative concentration, Causes wondrous forms to arise through paper and brush. This form arises through dependent origination, Arising yet non-arising, embodying the three truths. The three truths and three bodies are perfectly present, And the four virtues should be known as complete and lacking nothing. What is revered is already truth and virtue, What does the revering should be known as calm-abiding and insight. Although calm-abiding and insight are named differently, they are one in essence, Thus the subject and object are both empty by nature. I bow like space, with nothing to rely on, This is the infinite awakening of inherent nature.
