### 文殊師利法王子贊二首

> Two Verses in Praise of Manjushri, Prince of Dharma

稽首大智德勇健，表於無畏師子王。能照八萬四千律，皆作甚深般若光。手執如意摩尼寶，所遊自在妙吉祥。怖魔破惡亦除饉，大乘僧義難測量。巨石喬松恆演法，無是非是身堂堂。

> I bow to the Great Wise One, courageous and strong, A fearless lion king shining bright and bold. He illuminates eighty-four thousand rules of conduct, All radiating the deep light of perfect wisdom. He holds a wish-fulfilling gem and the lotus of如意 (Ruyi), Traveling with ease through wondrous realms of joy. He conquers demons, defeats evil, and relieves hunger, The profound meaning of the Mahayana sangha is beyond measure. Eternal as a great rock or tall pine, he always teaches the Dharma, Free from all distinctions—no right, no wrong—his majestic form stands resplendent.

一片青山，無邊波浪。動靜不生，奇形異狀。湧出寶蓮，文殊在上。大智勇猛，識風鼓盪。若欲思量，命失身喪。

> A green mountain range, endless rolling waves. Beyond stillness and motion, forms bizarre and strange arise. A precious lotus emerges, with Manjushri seated on top— Great wisdom and fierce courage, sensing the wind as it churns and swells. If you try to grasp it with thought, you will lose your life and body.
