> 51\. Biography of Nun Wenzan of Miaoguo Temple in Yongjia, Song Dynasty

文贊，紹興間人。先是，潛澗寶印法師傳天台教於永嘉妙果。未幾，文贊來施寶藏值萬金，緇素咸悅。文贊富於財，積而能散，生平植福之施，動以千緡計。又罄衣缽以製是藏，百寶莊嚴，極其工巧。寶印走書越中，乞王十朋為作記。

> Wen Zan was a person from the Shaoxing era. Earlier, Master Baoyin of Qianjian had been transmitting the Tiantai teachings at Miaoguo Temple in Yongjia. Not long after, Wen Zan came to donate a treasure collection worth ten thousand gold, delighting both monastics and laypeople alike. Wen Zan was wealthy, yet he knew how to accumulate and how to give generously. Throughout his life, his acts of merit-making often involved donations of thousands of strings of coins. He also exhausted his personal resources to create this collection, adorning it with all kinds of precious materials, crafted with the utmost skill and artistry. Baoyin sent a letter to Yuezhong, requesting Wang Shipeng to compose a record of the event.
