### 紅藥橋

〔小志〕俗名廿四橋，蓋譌二十四橋為一橋耳。沈括補筆談記二十四橋，各有名目，非一橋之名。後人因姜夔過揚州詞云：「二十四橋仍在，波心蕩，冷月無聲。念橋邊紅藥，年年知為誰生。」遂易名紅藥橋。

In his Supplementary Notes, Shen Kuo recorded that the Twenty-Four Bridges each had their own name; they were not just one bridge. Later, because of Jiang Kui's poem on passing Yangzhou, which says: "The Twenty-Four Bridges are still there, rippling in the river's heart, a cold moon silent. Thinking of the red peonies by the bridge, for whom do they bloom year after year?" people renamed it Red Peony Bridge.
