明流曲折樹侵堤　小棹疎簾晝榼檇紅略彴低船緩進　玉參差歇草長萋池塘衰柳雌雄燕　籬落秋花子母雞薄飲微曛歸路晚　一天涼露下蓮西

> Clear streams wind and bend, trees press against the dike, A small oar, a sparse curtain, at midday a jug of wine is stowed. The low red bridge—the boat eases forward slowly, Jade-like reflections waver and cease; grass grows tall and lush. By the pond, willows fade; swallows, male and female, flit, By the fence, autumn flowers bloom; hens with their chicks peck. A light drink, a faint dusk—the road home grows late, Cool dew falls across the sky, west of the lotus pond.
