爽氣豁林巒　連鑣出城郭沿溪詣篠園　熟遊徑不錯隔墻樷桂花　迎人香漠漠泠翠穿修林　濃陰繞山閣肅景值晴暄　商飈轉蕭索籬菊未敷榮　庭柯半搖落華滋獨小山　清芬燦緐萼且住即吾廬　一餉亦有託昨非事趨迎　今乃解纏縛薄醉躭清幽聯吟破寂寞少焉明月生　逍遙共斯樂

> Crisp air opens through woods and hills, We ride out together beyond the city walls. Along the stream we reach the bamboo garden— A familiar path, well-trodden before. Beyond the wall, osmanthus blooms in clusters, Greeting us with drifting fragrance, soft and vast. Cool jade-green light pierces the tall grove, Thick shade wraps around the mountain pavilion. In this clear, serene scene under a warm sun, The autumn wind turns bleak and chill. Chrysanthemums by the fence have yet to bloom, Courtyard branches are half stripped of leaves. Yet the small hill still glows with lush life, Its pure scent bright upon the clustered calyxes. To linger here is to dwell in my own home— Even a brief rest gives the heart its grounding. Before, I chased the busy world of greetings; Now, at last, I loosen the binding ropes. Slightly tipsy, I savor this quiet beauty, And with companions, I chant verses through the silence. Soon the bright moon will rise— Together, we share this wandering, carefree joy.
