### 祖道吟五首

祖道原來行實地，無生無滅無為起。一圓空缽隨分具，入林幽鳥聽聲語。鵲噪翠，閃電飛，日夜忙忙有何利？

> The true path of the patriarchs is grounded in reality, Beyond birth and death, arising from non-action. A single empty bowl, content with what it holds, Enters the forest where hidden birds listen to the sound of speech. Magpies chatter in the green, lightning flashes and flies, Day and night, bustling and busy—what gain is there in it?

直指當陽道非易，誰秉慧燈燈寶積？婆心化道許流傳，象王行處絕狐跡。陞其堂，入其室，高掛缽囊樹下笛。

> Directly pointing to the bright path is not easy—who holds the lamp of wisdom to illuminate the treasure? With compassionate heart, the teaching flows forth; where the elephant king walks, no fox tracks remain. Ascend his hall, enter his room, hang up the alms bowl high, and play the flute beneath the tree.

瞬息光陰暗逼事，轉眼於茲來生已。枝頭葉落聲蕭瑟，慚愧未能酬心肺。也無憂，也無累，鏡形水月無可拘。

> Time passes in the blink of an eye, Already this life is drawing to an end. Leaves fall from branches with a rustling sigh, Shame fills my heart, my debt I cannot mend. No worry, no burden, Like the moon in water, nothing to hold or surrender.

黃虀淡飯生活計，石虎崖畔去栽芋。相念相思無別圖，萬疊雲山有本據。雨飄飄，風颯颯，孤峰頂上那堪立？

林啼雲鳥皆遊戲，情與無情齊出世。隨分納些天地寬，無根滋味觸生鼻。百草頭，祖師意，硬掌麤拳隨分示。
