口論諍事依幾種滅法而滅耶？非難諍事……罪過諍事……義務諍事……依幾種滅法而滅耶？

> Regarding disputes arising from arguments: By how many principles of settlement are they resolved? Regarding disputes arising from criticism… regarding disputes arising from offenses… regarding disputes arising from obligations… By how many principles of settlement are they resolved?

口論諍事依兩種滅法而滅，依現前毘尼與多人語也。非難諍事依四種滅法而滅，依現前毘尼、憶念毘尼、不癡毘尼、覓罪相也。罪過諍事依三種滅法而滅，依現前毘尼、自言治、如草覆地也。義務諍事依一種滅法而滅，現前毘尼也。

> Disputes over arguments are resolved by two methods: by confronting the matter directly and by seeking a decision from the majority. Disputes over accusations are resolved by four methods: by confronting the matter directly, by relying on the recollection of the accused, by considering the sanity of the accused, and by searching for evidence of wrongdoing.
