「尊師！具幾分之舊住比丘，持來如置〔確實迅速〕墮地獄耶？」「優波離！具五分之舊住比丘，持來如放置即墮地獄。何等為五？行愛不應行，行瞋不應行，行癡不應行，行怖不應行，以僧伽物為個人使用之受用物而受用。優波離！此……。

> "Venerable Sir, with how many qualities does a senior monk who brings an offering end up in hell, as if placed there directly?" "Upali, a senior monk with five qualities who brings an offering falls into hell as if placed there directly. What are these five? He acts based on favoritism, acts based on hostility, acts based on ignorance, acts based on fear, and he uses Sangha property as his personal belongings. Upali, with these five qualities..."

優波離！具五分之舊住比丘，持來如置即生天上。何等為五？不行愛不應行……以僧伽物為個人受用物而不受用。此……即生天上。」

> Upāli! An elder monk endowed with five qualities, when he passes away, is immediately reborn in heaven, just like a burden that is laid down. What are these five? He does not act with desire for what is not proper... He does not take as personal belongings what belongs to the community, nor does he use them for himself. By possessing these five qualities, he is reborn in heaven.
