### 淨土偈

雲棲蓮大師舉：「自性西方，惟心淨土。」拈云：「若直指西方，豈但去此過十萬億佛剎為非也？說箇自性，已涉程途。若實談淨土，不惟寶池金地種種莊嚴者非也，纔道惟心，已成垢物。去此二途，畢竟如何是西方淨土？參。」

> Master Yunqi Lian raised the saying: "The Western Pure Land is but one's own nature; the Pure Land exists only in the mind." He commented: "If we speak of the Western Land directly, does that mean it is not merely a place a hundred thousand million Buddha-lands away? To speak of 'self-nature' already involves a journey. If we truly speak of the Pure Land, then not only are the jeweled pools and golden grounds with all their adornments not real, but the very moment we say 'mind-only,' it becomes tainted. Setting aside both these paths, what, after all, is the Western Pure Land? Investigate this."

諸佛閫奧，祖師心髓，總被者老人發明殆盡。予不自揣，以偈贅之。

紅稀綠暗夏初長，紫燕呢喃遶畫樑，不識此間真教體，更從何處覓西方。

> Petals fade, leaves darken, early summer days grow long, Purple swallows chirp and circle the painted beams. If one does not recognize the true essence of this teaching, Where else could one seek the Western Land?

彌陀切莫向他求，只要當人放下休，雲散一輪光皎潔，更嫌何處不風流。

> Do not seek Amitabha elsewhere— Just let go, and rest within yourself. When clouds scatter, the moon shines bright and clear— What more could you desire to feel life's grace?

酒樓歌妓音聲細，肉案屠兒語話麤，忽地喚回霜夜夢，彌陀元不異凡夫。

> In the wine house, a singing girl's voice is soft and fine; At the butcher's block, the slaughterer's speech is coarse and rough. Suddenly, from a frosty night's dream, I am called back— Amitabha is, in truth, no different from an ordinary man.

避喧求寂身中刺，滅妄趨真眼裏瘡，心地不生諸所見，何分東土與西方。

鬧市孤峰同措足，魔宮佛國共安居，人言念淨蓮華發，我道心空境自如。

雲橫谷口空山靜，花落谿邊野水香，欲識彌陀真面目，分明遍界不曾藏。

> Clouds stretch across the valley mouth, the empty mountain is still, Petals fall by the stream, the wild water fragrant. If you wish to know the true face of Amitabha, It's clearly everywhere, never hidden at all.

泥犁不斷貪瞋苦，極樂常聞戒定香，識得報緣俱是假，生天作佛任他忙。

諸有空時萬法忘，松風晝夜為敷揚，眾生顛倒愚癡習，盡是彌陀常寂光。
