> Guanyin Painting Sutra

三昧禪人瀝指血為墨，以普門品寫大士像，近視之如蟻陣成行，遠視之了無字跡，可謂巧心玅手，以遊戲為佛事，堪種成佛之因。倘向筆畫外突開隻眼，是深入三昧。

> <note place="inline">A Chan practitioner once used blood from a punctured fingertip as ink to write the Universal Gate Chapter into an image of the Bodhisattva. From close up, the writing looked like a line of ants, but from far away there was not a trace of letters to be seen. This was indeed a skillful mind and wonderful hand, employing playful creativity as a Buddhist practice—a deed sufficient to plant the seeds of enlightenment. If one could open an extra eye to look beyond the brushstrokes, such a person would have truly entered deep samadhi.</note>

通身是經，誰為觀音？春回雪裏，花滿千林。

> The entire body is a sutra—who is Guanyin? Spring returns amidst the snow, and a thousand forests are full of blossoms.
