### 示眾四首

> Four Teachings for the Assembly

大德胡為到此方，毫無佛法可商量，再三覓我安心旨，好肉何須剜作瘡。

> Great master, why have you come to this place? Here there is no Dharma to discuss or arrange. You seek again and again for a way to settle your mind— But why would you cut into healthy flesh to create a wound?

雲水相逢般若堂，柰何愚拙絕商量，若將伎倆抵生死，屈殺老胡遠渡江。

一燈續焰百燈明，豈是之乎者也行？利刃吹毛握在手，揮時遍界絕埃塵。

> One lamp lights a hundred more, This is not mere words and lore. A keen-edged blade held in hand, One swing clears dust from every land.

慚愧虛名處處揚，從來不識古文章，一條白棒傳心印，任爾時流道短長。
