### 微意兼贈穆穆齋

物有俱生情， 曰我愛我慢： 我愛屈我慢， 遷客悲鴻雁； 我慢屈我愛， 達人齊鵬鷃。茫茫宙合間， 萬象同誕幻， 種識成瀑流， 吾身尤大患； 經世親所嘗， 無往非破綻。長風翏翏中， 飄墮蓮花瓣， 溷圊與繡茵， 美惡何裝扮？ 隨分納些些， 往來絕追諫。青山籠浮雲， 漸亦幽間慣； 嗒然我喪予， 愛慢盡烹轘。 徒勞明珠投， 不為按劍盻。喙鳴天地合， 隨順語謾謾； 天地合喙鳴， 莫逆視䁙䁙。

> All beings are born with attachments— the sense of "I" and pride in self. When love bows to pride, the wanderer grieves for the wild geese; when pride yields to love, the enlightened see no difference between the great roc and the quail. In the vast universe, all phenomena are but fleeting illusions. Seeds of consciousness surge like a torrent— this body of ours is the greatest burden. Through life's experiences, we find nothing but fragility and flaw. In the howling wind, petals of lotus drift and fall. Whether landing in filth or on embroidered cushions, what difference does beauty or ugliness make? Accept whatever comes with equanimity, coming and going without regret or longing. Green mountains wrapped in drifting clouds— gradually I too grow accustomed to stillness. In silent absorption, the "I" dissolves; attachment and pride are utterly consumed. In vain I toss a luminous pearl— no need to wait for a wary glare in return. When birds sing and heaven and earth merge, I follow along with gentle, unhurried words. When heaven and earth merge with the birds' song, I gaze back with serene, fearless eyes.
