> Reply to Bingxian's Poem of Remembrance, Matching the Rhyme

海山風浪意潺湲， 一紙悲濤映恨顏。 可奈花空眚猶病， 明知念妄夢難還。君有身毒之遊願持骨肉酬勞侶， 痛割頭顱捨我慳。 珍重故人遊絕域， 鷲峰吟寄白華關。

> Waves of wind and sea upon the mountain, a restless chime— A single sheet of sorrowful tide mirrors a face of regret. Yet what can be done—flowers are empty, the eye's flaw still aches; Though I know thoughts are illusions, dreams are hard to reclaim. I vow to offer flesh and bone to repay my weary companion, To painfully sever this head, letting go of my own stinginess. Take care, old friend, as you journey to distant lands; From Vulture Peak, I send this verse to White Flower Pass.
