### 丙二　明離偷盜功德

> Chapter 2: The Merit of Abstaining from Theft

『復次、龍王！若離偷盜，即得十種可保信法。何等為十？一、資財盈積，王賊水火及非愛子不能散滅；二、多人愛念；三、人不欺負；四、十方讚美；五、不憂損害；六、善名流布；七、處眾無畏；八、財命色力安樂辯才具足無缺；九、常懷施意；十、命終生天：是為十。若能迴向阿耨多羅三藐三菩提者，後成佛時，得證清淨大菩提智。

> Furthermore, Dragon King, if one refrains from stealing, they will obtain ten kinds of trustworthy qualities. What are these ten? First, their wealth will accumulate abundantly, and neither kings, thieves, floods, fires, nor unloving children can scatter or destroy it; second, many people will cherish and think fondly of them; third, no one will bully them; fourth, they will be praised in all directions; fifth, they will not worry about harm; sixth, their good reputation will spread far and wide; seventh, they will be fearless among crowds; eighth, they will fully possess wealth, longevity, physical strength, peace, happiness, and eloquence without deficiency; ninth, they will always harbor a mindset of giving; tenth, at the end of life, they will be reborn in heaven. These are the ten. If one can dedicate these merits toward supreme enlightenment, then when they later become a Buddha, they will attain the pure and great wisdom of enlightenment.

世間資財，有五種事可使消滅貧乏：一、國王，二、盜賊，三、水災，四、火災，五、非愛子——俗稱敗家子。若能永離偷盜業，即常得資財豐滿，不為此五事所散滅。且有善名流布，辯才無礙，為一切人所愛敬讚美。不為人欺，命終亦得生天。若能迴向無上菩提，將來成佛時，得證清淨大菩提智。

> Worldly wealth can be destroyed and reduced by five things: first, the king; second, thieves; third, floods; fourth, fires; and fifth, unloving children—commonly called prodigal sons. If one can forever abstain from the act of stealing, one will always enjoy abundant wealth, untouched by these five causes of loss. Moreover, one will gain a good reputation that spreads far and wide, possess eloquence without hindrance, and be loved, respected, and praised by all. One will not be deceived by others, and at the end of life, will be reborn in heaven. If one dedicates these merits to Supreme Enlightenment, then in the future, upon becoming a Buddha, one will realize the pure and great wisdom of Enlightenment.
