> Section A: All Beings in the Dharma Realm Have No Beginning or End

> When considered from the perspective of all beings in the Dharma Realm, if we investigate their ultimate nature, every thing, every event, and even the essence of life itself has no independent self-nature. Thus, we cannot say they have a beginning or an end, nor can we say they are one or many. This is not a deliberate avoidance of such questions; rather, such questions simply do not arise in the first place, and therefore there is fundamentally nothing to say. When considered from the perspective of dependent origination and conditioned arising, all beings in the Dharma Realm are without beginning and without end. All inanimate things and all living beings flow through the arising and ceasing of causes and conditions, without beginning or end. All living beings cycle through existence, endlessly continuing without interruption. Therefore, all phenomena in the Dharma Realm, arising and ceasing through causes and conditions, are without beginning or end; all living beings, with their karmic results continuing one after another, are also without beginning or end. Since everything is without beginning or end, there is no such thing as an origin. The Buddha stated in the \*Perfection of Wisdom Sutra for Humane Kings Who Protect Their Countries\*: “If anyone says that there are beings newly produced outside the three realms, that is the teaching of the externalist scripture known as the Great Existence.” This clearly illustrates this point.
